Job summary

DTU Management invites applications for an Associate Professor or Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Sustainable Travel Behaviour within the Transportation Science Division. The position is based at DTU Lyngby and offers an international research environment with strong links to policymakers, public authorities, and industry.

You will lead research and teaching on travel behaviour and sustainable mobility, contribute to policy-relevant insights, and help grow an interdisciplinary, high-impact

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant topic and discipline related to travel behaviour, e.g. from Transportation Science, Social Data Science, Economics, Psychology, Geography or Urban Planning, with a quantitative evidence-oriented profile
• Experience of application areas within the transport domain, possibly related to land use, and a strong publications record in these areas
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, scientific advice and public sector consultancy in the transport domain, along with strong skills in sector collaboration
• A solid national and international network within and beyond academia
• An ambition to push boundaries and define future research agendas that address societal challenges

Responsibilities

• Advance research and practice on travel behaviour and sustainable mobility with international impact
• Develop academic leadership, attract external funding, and teach undergraduate and graduate students
• Contribute to research-based policy advice and societal impact in the transport domain
• Foster collaborations with public authorities, industry, and other researchers
• Build and sustain an international research network and research agenda
