Job summary

University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for an Associate Professor in Public Health with a focus on interdisciplinary, qualitative studies of children’s and young people’s health and well‑being. Position commences 15 April 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter, based in Copenhagen as part of NIPH within SDU.

You will engage in research, teaching and dissemination, lead qualitative projects in daycare, schools and communities, and collaborate across national and international

Qualifications

• Qualified researcher in qualitative methods focusing on children’s and young people’s health.
• Strong teaching qualifications at university level and supervision experience.
• Experience disseminating research to researchers, practitioners and other target groups.
• National and international research collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interdisciplinary qualitative research on children’s and young people’s health.
• Teach and supervise at bachelor’s and master’s levels in relevant topics.
• Prepare external funding applications and coordinate projects.
• Disseminate research findings to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Contribute to method development and research group activities.
