Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a permanent Associate Professor position in Environmental Chemistry. The appointee will develop an externally funded research program, supervise MSc/PhD students, and contribute to teaching across Life Long learning, MSc and PhD levels.

Collaboration with external partners and governmental authorities is emphasized. The role is based at the Department of Environmental Science, Roskilde campus, with a focus on impactful environmental chemistry research

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Chemistry or closely related discipline.
• Documented research experience in environmental chemistry.
• Ability to develop an internationally visible research profile.

Responsibilities

• Develop an internationally strong, externally funded research programme.
• Address occurrence, fate, transport, transformation, exposure and impacts of contaminants.
• Provide research-based advisory activities for ministries and authorities.
• Teach and develop courses at MSc and PhD levels; supervise students and postdocs.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations across chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, and data science.
