Aarhus University is inviting applications for Assistant Professor positions in Materials Science & Engineering, affiliated with the Materials Science & Engineering Center. The four-year appointments focus on high-level research and teaching under Prof.

Anja-Verena Mudring and funded by the NovoNordisk Foundation. The appointee will conduct cutting-edge research, supervise students, and contribute to the department's national and international standing.

Qualifications

• PhD in Materials Science, Material Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Postdoctoral experience in a field of materials science & engineering.
• Thorough experience in solid-state synthesis, molten salts and ionic liquids, corrosion of metals, f-element chemistry, and materials characterization with X-ray/electron/neutron diffraction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research at a high international level in center projects under the guidance of Prof. Anja-Verena Mudring.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and supervision and engage in the academic community at Aarhus University.
• Contribute to strengthening the department's national and international profile and participate in collegial collaboration.
• Research of high international quality in the center projects; disseminate results in scientific articles and conferences; contribute to attracting external funding; teach and supervise students and interns.
• Report to the Head of the Materials Science & Engineering Center, Prof. Dr. Anja-Verena Mudring.
