Job summary

Wood Thilsted is a world-leading engineering consultancy specialising in offshore wind farm development. We seek an experienced Package Manager to join the Advisory Services team, focusing on WTG foundation packages and client-facing delivery.

The role combines strong technical understanding with commercial awareness, advising clients from early development through procurement, fabrication, installation and project execution.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in offshore wind development, engineering, package management, owner's engineering, or EPC delivery.
• Experience managing foundation packages, substructures, or major offshore wind work packages.
• Strong understanding of offshore wind foundation design, fabrication, transportation, installation, and certification processes.
• Experience with procurement strategies, tendering, supplier evaluation, and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Drive advisory assignments for offshore wind developers with a focus on WTG foundation packages.
• Lead projects from early development and concept maturation through CfD bid and into project execution.
• Advise clients on foundation strategy, design maturity, procurement, contracting and execution.
• Develop and challenge technical and commercial assumptions to support robust project and investment decisions.
• Lead supply chain engagement, including market dialogue, supplier assessment, and procurement strategy.
• Manage tender processes, including preparation of technical requirements, ITTs and evaluation of supplier offers.
• Lead and coordinate foundation packages across engineering, procurement, fabrication, certification, and project interfaces.
• Provide package management and EPC advisory support to developers during project execution.
• Support clients in establishing realistic CAPEX, schedule, risk and contingency assumptions for foundation packages.
• Identify and manage key technical, commercial, contractual and supply chain risks.
• Facilitate collaboration between developers, WTG suppliers, designers, fabricators, certifiers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute actively to business development, proposals, client relationships, and development of new Advisory Services.
• Bring practical construction and project execution experience into strategic advisory and decision‑making.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Package Manager to join our Advisory Services team. This is a client‑facing role focused on supporting offshore wind developers through the development, procurement, contracting, and execution of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundation packages.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical understanding of offshore wind foundations with commercial awareness and practical project delivery experience. You will advise clients on critical project decisions from early‑stage development and concept selection through procurement, financial close, fabrication, installation, and project execution.

Working closely with developers, OEMs, foundation designers, fabricators, certifiers, and contractors, you will play a key role in helping clients manage risk, optimise project value, and successfully deliver complex offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive advisory assignments for offshore wind developers with a focus on WTG foundation packages.

Your Background

We are looking for someone who brings a combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding, and practical offshore wind project delivery experience.

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in offshore wind development, engineering, package management, owner's engineering, or EPC delivery.
• Experience managing foundation packages, substructures, or major offshore wind work packages.
• Strong understanding of offshore wind foundation design, fabrication, transportation, installation, and certification processes.
• Experience with procurement strategies, tendering, supplier evaluation, and contract management.
• Knowledge of project economics, CAPEX development, scheduling methodologies, and risk management.
• Experience working with offshore wind developers, OEMs, fabricators, contractors, and supply chain partners.
