SDU Mechanical Engineering invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Odense campus. The successful candidate will teach in the Bachelor and Civil Engineering programs, supervise PhD students, and engage with industry and external partners, contributing to the SDU Maritime

Qualifications

• Completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Ability to teach basic mechanical engineering curricula.
• Strong communication skills in English for research and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach mechanical engineering curricula in SDU ME programs.
• Supervise PhD students and contribute to research supervision.
• Develop an independent research profile in naval architecture/marine engineering.
• Engage with industry, maritime partners and external organizations.
• Contribute to outreach and collaboration within SDU ME and the Maritime Center.
