Job summary

Syddansk Universitet is inviting applications for a 2-year full-time Assistant Professor position in Global Health within the Institute of Public Health. The role focuses on strengthening primary healthcare systems for underserved populations in LMICs and contributes to international projects including STRENGTHEN in Western Kenya.

The successful candidate will engage in implementation and health services research and collaborate with academic, clinical, and policy partners across settings.

Qualifications

• A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Global Health, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Implementation Science, or a related discipline
• Strong background in health systems research, primary healthcare, chronic disease prevention and management, or health equity in LMICs
• Strong academic record
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Interest in co-supervising BSc, MSc and PhD students

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in global health with focus on strengthening primary healthcare systems
• Contribute to STRENGTHEN project and other global health initiatives
• Collaborate with researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community stakeholders
• Travel to Kenya for short periods as part of project activities
