Terma Group is seeking an Application Manager to shape and develop security system proposals from early design to project closure, joining a small, highly collaborative team. You will combine technical engineering with commercial insight to deliver compliant solutions and build strong customer relationships across a complex sensor technology landscape.

You will translate requirements into practical, high‑quality proposals and act as the primary contact with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum 5 years in technical project engineering and pre-sales.
• Experience with radar/camera systems in defense or security.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Application Manager, you will support the pre‑sales organization in shaping and developing security system proposals from early design to project closure. You will play a key role in ensuring both technical and commercial compliance in a highly specialized field, where deep technical knowledge combined with a strong commercial mindset is necessary. The role combines technical engineering, commercial focus and customer engagement.

You will become part of a small, highly collaborative team of four colleagues with extensive interaction across the wider organization. The team operates in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement are central to success. We take pride in developing both people and technology, and you will have the opportunity to broaden your technical and commercial expertise while working with colleagues across disciplines.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

• Lead the development of high‑quality, compliant proposals with complex technical scope and content, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
• Create and tailor technical solutions based on customer requirements, drawing on expertise within radar and camera technology
• Translate complex technical concepts and solutions into clear, compelling commercial value propositions
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders throughout the proposal phase, building strong and lasting relationships
• Present and communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences, facilitating professional stakeholder dialogue
• Collaborate closely across functions and with external partners to ensure alignment, strong stakeholder engagement, and successful proposal outcomes

Bring your expertise into play

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent technical education combined with relevant experience may also be considered
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical project engineering, systems engineering, or a similar role, combined with experience in technical pre‑sales and customer‑facing negotiations
• Proven knowledge of advanced radar, camera, or other complex sensor technologies, ideally within defense, security, or critical infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, with the ability to develop solutions and solve complex technical challenges through a structured and analytical approach
• Broad technical insight across mechanical, electronic, and software architectures, including experience with testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
