Podimo, Europe’s leading podcasting platform, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the BI team. You will build scalable data models and self-service analytics across the organization, enabling AI-ready insights and automated workflows.

You will collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and AI engineers to deliver robust data solutions, dashboards, and a semantic layer while optimizing data warehouse costs. This role offers offices in Copenhagen, Berlin or Amsterdam with a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in BI, data or analytics engineering in fast-paced environments.
• Strong experience with SQL, dbt, BigQuery, Git, and data visualization tools (Looker).
• Good understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles.
• Experience writing dbt tests and unit tests with a focus on data quality.

We are now looking for an Analytics Engineer to join us!

This is the role

At Podimo, data is at the centre of nearly everything we do; guiding decisions and fueling our business processes. This is where you come into the picture!

In this role, you’ll join our BI team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining our company-wide data platform. The team works across the entire organisation to enable data-driven decision-making and automation at scale.

You will be collaborating with business teams, analytics engineers, and data engineers to bring scalable, reliable, and efficient data models, BI interfaces, and self-service solutions to life, while making our data AI-ready and enabling the adoption of AI-powered analytics

The role can be based out of our Copenhagen HQ, Berlin or Amsterdam. The team offers a casual atmosphere with excellent opportunities to play a key part in shaping and continuously evolving how Podimo works with AI, analytics, and insights.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Work closely with business teams, data analysts, and AI engineers to understand their needs and translate those into effective data solutions

• Utilize dbt, SQL, BigQuery, and Looker/LookML to transform and model both new and existing data sources

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service tools that enable business stakeholders to gain insights and make data-driven decisions

• Drive AI-assisted workflows within the AE function, including agentic development and LLM context management for the dbt repository

• Build and maintain a robust semantic layer with clear metric definitions and documentation to enable reliable AI-powered analytics

• Optimize warehouse efficiency by managing BigQuery costs and implementing effective partitioning and incremental processing strategies

• Provide data modeling expertise to additional team and department members through code reviews and pairing to help deliver optimal and scalable designs and queries

• Promote the adoption of AI solutions and interfaces by educating business users and data developers on their usage

In more detail, you will thrive in this role if you have:

• A few years (1-3) of experience working in BI, data or analytics engineering, preferably in a fast-paced environment

• Strong experience with SQL, dbt, BigQuery, Git, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker)

• A good understanding of data modelling and a solid grasp of data warehousing principles

• Experience writing dbt tests and unit tests, with a strong focus on data quality and validating results before delivery

• Experience with data models explicitly architected for self-serve and AI access: structured, documented, and reliable enough for business teams, conversational analytics tools, and AI features to consume autonomously.

• A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement and learning

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective data solutions

• Experience with Python and/or Airflow for scripting and workflow orchestration (a plus, but not required)

Naturally, being passionate about podcasts, audio content, and entertainment is a big plus!
