Job summary

FOSS is seeking an AI Solutions Developer to transform AI into practical customer support tools. You will design end-to-end AI-enabled systems, build data pipelines, and integrate AI into SharePoint, Salesforce, and custom apps.

You will work across teams to deploy robust, scalable solutions that improve knowledge sharing and support processes. You will leverage Azure AI Foundry/OpenAI, LangChain, and vector databases to create production-ready prototypes, monitoring, and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience building AI-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong Python skills and fluency in APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs).
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search (Qdrant).
• Understanding of backend development workflows and integration patterns.
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry, App Service, Functions).
• Clear communication and solid documentation practices.

What you will be doing

As an AI Solutions Developer, your work will span from prototype to production, ensuring robust integration of AI into business processes and digital platforms.

You will:

• Design end-to-end systems incorporating AI/ML models, data pipelines, APIs, and integration with existing software.
• Select, prompt, and evaluate foundation models (Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry) for specific business challenges, and build retrieval and evaluation setups around them.
• Turn prototypes into scalable, production-ready applications, with automated pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and monitoring.
• Integrate AI functionality into software products (e.g., company apps, webpages, SharePoint, Salesforce) and expose it to other services through REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Build, configure, and continuously improve our Boost.ai customer chatbot, including dialogue design, integrations, and the AI agents that handle specialist retrieval and lookups.
• Track answer quality, usage, and cost in production, then tune prompts, retrieval, and pipelines to improve performance and reliability.
• Coordinate implementation with the teams that own the surrounding systems (Salesforce, SharePoint, our iOS and Android apps, and other business and IT stakeholders).

You will collaborate with domain experts across the business to turn ideas into tools real people use daily, and document your solutions so knowledge is shared across teams.

What we hope to see you bring

We’re looking for a technically sharp, impact-driven developer with:

• 2-5 years of hands‑on experience building AI-driven systems (e.g., enterprise search, chatbots, recommendation engines, workflow automation).
• A solid, practical understanding of LLMs, including tool/function calling, building tools and MCP servers, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and evaluating output quality.
• Strong Python skills and fluency in APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Practical knowledge of AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs).
• Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search technologies (we use Qdrant).
• Understanding of backend development workflows and integration patterns.
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry, App Service, Functions, storage, and identity).
• Clear communication and solid documentation practices.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Experience with conversational AI platforms, ideally Boost.ai.
• Experience working with domain experts (e.g., Service, QA, Engineering) and familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and SAP.
• Familiarity with DevOps-style development, testing, and deployment, including containers (Docker, Kubernetes).

You are curious, proactive, comfortable working autonomously, and skilled in bridging the gap between technical prototypes and enterprise-ready products.
