Uni-Tankers A/S is seeking an AI Solutions Architect/Engineer to shape our AI foundation and turn business needs into reliable AI solutions. You will build agents, integrations, and AI-enabled applications that deliver measurable value.

You will collaborate across the organization, ensuring production-ready AI tied to governance, security, and compliance while balancing cost, reliability, and user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI, data, or software solutions from concept to production.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Foundry, including security, governance, and compliance.
• Solid understanding of data engineering, ETL processes, data lakes, APIs, and systems integration.
• Ability to balance security, reliability, performance, maintainability, UX, and cost.
• Strong communication skills translating complex tech to business recommendations.
• Experience in business process optimization and identifying opportunities for improvement.

At Uni-Tankers, we see AI as an opportunity to work smarter, make better decisions, and create greater value across the business. We are looking for an AI Solutions Architect/Engineer who can turn business needs and enterprise data into secure, reliable, and practical AI solutions.

As our first AI specialist, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape how AI is designed, developed, and applied across Uni-Tankers. You will be hands-on in building agents, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions. This role is for someone who enjoys building the solutions that empower the organization in a meaningful way.

Reporting to Thomas Thomsen, CFO, you will play a key role in connecting business needs, data, and technology. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including our Business Intelligence Controller, to make effective use of enterprise data and take AI solutions from early ideas into secure and maintainable production use.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Understanding business needs and translating them into AI solutions
• Designing, building, testing, and deploying AI agents and applications
• Collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and consultants while retaining technical ownership
• Embedding security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI into solutions from day one
• Contributing to the AI roadmap by prioritizing opportunities based on impact and feasibility

Are you the one to build our AI foundation?

We are looking for someone who combines technical capabilities with curiosity, ownership, and business understanding.

You may have a background in software engineering, data engineering, cloud architecture, machine learning engineering, applied AI, solution architecture, or a related field. Your exact background is less important than your ability to design, build, and deliver AI solutions that work reliably in practice.

You are comfortable moving between architecture and implementation. You can discuss a business challenge with a non-technical colleague, translate it into a technical solution, and then contribute directly to building and operating that solution.

You likely:

• Experience delivering AI, data, or software solutions from concept to production
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Foundry, including security, governance, and compliance
• Solid understanding of data engineering, ETL processes, data lakes, APIs, and systems integration
• Ability to make sound technical decisions balancing security, reliability, performance, maintainability, user experience, and cost
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business recommendations
• Experience in business process optimization and identifying opportunities for improvement
• A proactive and curious mindset, combining technical skills with the ability to understand business needs across functions

Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, or similar technologies would be an advantage. More importantly, you have a demonstrated ability to deliver real-world AI, data, or software solutions, regardless of platform or academic background.
