Job summary

Normal Computing in Copenhagen is seeking an AI Engineer to build production systems that understand complex technical documents and translate them into high-quality code. You will push the boundaries of AI for hardware through reinforcement learning, agentic coding, and robust software engineering.

You will own end-to-end development, document understanding solutions, multi-agent systems, production quality, and platform integration, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices

Qualifications

• Production AI systems experience with language models.
• Distributed systems and production-grade code.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, transformers).
• Hands-on prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models.
• Ability to preprocess large-scale, heterogeneous datasets.
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End AI development from concept through production deployment and iteration.
• Document Understanding: design and implement LLM-powered solutions for extracting meaning from complex specifications.
• Agentic Systems: handle multi-agent and RL approaches for code generation and tool use.
• Production Quality: design strategies to manage latency, output variance, and error handling at scale.
• Platform Integration: collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into our platform.
• Mentorship: guide junior engineers and establish best practices for AI development.
