Zusammenfassung

Wärtsilä Corporation in Hamburg seeks a skilled Workshop Specialist to join our engine and injection technology team. You will dismantle, inspect and assemble engines and related components, ensuring quality and documentation across Wärtsilä products.

The role requires hands-on experience with medium to large engines, injection systems and control technology, plus readiness for overtime and precise use of measuring tools. German fluency is essential; English is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Commercial and technical vocational training completed as machine fitter or related mechanic.
• Initial workshop experience and knowledge of engine or injection/control technology.
• Knowledge of medium and large engines and their components is advantageous.
• Welding (MAG/TIG), measuring equipment and machine tools knowledge is helpful.

• Dismantling, inspecting and assembling engines and their components.
• Dismantling, inspecting and assembling injection pumps and speed controllers.
• Perform functional tests and quality assurance with documentation.
• Determine spare parts, tools and devices needed to complete orders.
• Document orders using an IT-supported system.
• Participate in workflow and process optimization.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations; collaborate with other departments.

Workshop Specialist (m/f/d)

In the area of engine assembly (medium-large engines) and in the area of injection and regulator technology (BOSCH Woodward L’Orange Regulateurs Europe, including test bench experience), to strengthen our team in Hamburg, we are looking for experienced technicians with the following areas of focus or previous knowledge:

• Employees with a focus on medium and large engine disassembly and assembly (Deutz, MWM, Wärtsilä, Sulzer, MAN, MAK etc.)
• Employees with a focus on injection systems and controller technology with desirable experience in the areas of BOSCH, L’Orange, Woodward, Regulateurs Europa and their test bench requirements

General requirements for the above-mentioned focal points would be:

Your tasks in our team?

• Dismantling, inspecting and assembling engines and their components on products from the Wärtsilä portfolio
• Dismantling, examining and assembling injection pumps and speed controllers from the manufacturers Bosch, Woodward, L`orange and Regulateurs Europa.
• Carrying out functional tests and quality assurance measures including documentation
• Determination of requirements for spare parts, tools and devices to complete orders
• Order documentation with an IT-supported system on a PC, laptop or tablet
• Participation in the optimization of workflows and processes
• Compliance with applicable occupational safety standards (e.g. risk assessment before starting work) and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with other departments on site

This will convince us:

• Completed commercial and technical vocational training as a machine fitter, industrial, agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle mechanic
• Initial professional experience in a workshop and knowledge of engine technology or injection and control technology.
• Knowledge of medium and large engines, their components and their machining is an advantage
• Knowledge of operating machine tools desirable
• Welding knowledge in the area of MAG and TIG welding
• Confident knowledge of the use of measuring equipment
• Reliable and responsible way of working
• No fear of contact with laptops, tablets or similar input media
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written German, knowledge of English is an advantage
• Generally open to overtime, including on Saturdays or with staggered working hours
