GMX, WEB.DE & mail.com is seeking a working student for our Security Governance & Compliance team in Karlsruhe. You will analyze security data, prepare targeted reports to support decisions, and help optimize security metrics.

You will also automate routine tasks with scripts and assist in coordinating work packages. The role combines technical, economic and strategic aspects of information security in a modern digital company.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing (business) informatics with at least two years in Bachelor's or in a Master's program.
• Interest in technical, economic and strategic aspects of information security.
• Solid programming knowledge in Java, Python or JavaScript; familiar with developer tools.
• Reliable, structured and able to work with diverse teams.
• Strong German and English communication at C1 level.

Your tasks

Would you like to gain your first professional experience in a modern digital company in which information security plays a central role? Then we are looking for you as a working student for our Security Governance & Compliance team, which is responsible for the strategic aspects of information security at Mail & Media.

• You carry out security-relevant data analyses and prepare the results in a target group-oriented manner so that they enable high-quality decisions to be made.
• You create and continuously optimize the reporting of security metrics.
• You automate recurring team tasks with the help of scripts.
• You will take on various coordination tasks, such as organizing appointments or following up on work packages.

• You are studying (business) informatics and are already enrolled in at least the second year of your Bachelor's or in Master's degree program.
• You see yourself as an all-rounder and are interested in the technical, economic and strategic aspects of information security. You are a continuous learner, also on your own initiative.
• You have solid technical knowledge, practical experience with programming languages such as JAVA, Python or JavaScript, and are familiar with common developer tools (Git, build tools, etc.).
• You are characterized by your commitment and a structured way of working, and you enjoy working successfully with people from different backgrounds.
• Your ability to communicate orally and in writing (in German and English, both at C1 level) in target group oriented manner complements your profile.
