TEKsystems is seeking a Windows/Linux Vulnerability Remediation Engineer for a hybrid contract role in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses ~70% on vulnerability remediation and patch management and ~30% on server administration, with emphasis on testing, deploying, and automating OS and application updates at enterprise scale.

The candidate will manage software components, RPMs, and dependencies, using PowerShell, Shell, Python, or Perl to automate tasks and patches.

Qualifikationen

• Strong Windows Server Administration and/or Unix/Linux Administration experience.
• Experience with application patching, software upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to install, upgrade, and remove Microsoft, third-party, and Linux/Unix-based software packages.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, or Perl.
• Experience automating patching and administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with deploying patches and upgrades across large enterprise environments.
• Experience managing software components, drivers, RPMs, and related dependencies.
• Ability to support the full remediation lifecycle from testing through production deployment.

Are you experienced with Windows or Linux administration, patch management, and automation? Join a team responsible for securing and modernizing a large enterprise environment through vulnerability remediation and application patching at scale.

This role is approximately 70% vulnerability remediation and patch management and 30% server administration. The team is focused on testing, deploying, and automating application and OS updates while reducing security risks across critical systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
