Description of the job

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion. The program is open to employees at Airbus and offers young professionals the opportunity to gain valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria.

Main Requirements

• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Monaco)
• Graduates up to and including 28 years old (a VIE mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)
• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
• Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28

VIE Position for Project Supply Manager

Located within Airbus Defence & Space in Munich (Germany), this role is part of the Connected Intelligence Procurement Organization. The organization is a transnational entity that directly impacts the full spectrum of Defence and Space programmes. It offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic environment that is becoming more digital and impactful.

In this role you will support the management of the Procurement organisation across programmes/projects, ensuring coherence between programmes and procurement topics. You will define and agree on the appropriate procurement approach.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for the Product Line / Project on procurement / purchasing matters
• Coordinate the Supply Management functions on bids and projects, including: Procurement Contract Management, Commodity Management, Supply Chain Quality, Supplier Operations
• Support sourcing strategies and work with Commodity Management to source all project items
• Handle contracts and negotiations when required
• Ensure that purchasing processes are applied correctly and consistently
• Facilitate information exchange among different stakeholders in line with project needs and in alignment with the main Project Manager

Required Skills

• Qualification or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Good communication skills, ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external interfaces
• Negotiation proficiency in German and English
• International experience desired
