Amazon’s Consumables team in Munich is seeking a talented Vendor Manager for the spirits category on a fixed‑term 13‑month contract. You will lead vendor relationships, define selection strategy, and collaborate with Marketing, InStock, Logistics and Legal to optimize the spirits and Consumables assortment.

You will interact with senior brand partners and small manufacturers, drive promotional campaigns, and help shape a world‑class shopping experience for spirits.

This is a fixed term contract role (13 months).

Amazon’s Consumables team is looking for a talented Vendor Manager for the BWS products business for the spirits category. In this role you will work to create earth's greatest shopping experience of spirits products and other Consumables selection, with a store featuring more products, brands, & more compelling content than any store, online or offline and invent the future! You will be the main point of contact with Brands for the channels of Retail and will deal with top management large brands as well as small manufacturers.

This role can be based either in Munich, Paris, Milan, London or Milan.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define the selection strategy, which categories to focus on, which brands to prioritize, what type of product, price range, etc.
  • Grow and manage the selection through strong vendor relationships, including assessing market procurement conditions, recommending terms, and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Act as pivotal role in the E-commerce business, liaising with Marketing, Instock Management, Logistics, Finance and Legal.
  • Be responsible for the following areas of business management: promotional campaigns, support to in-stock management (in close relationship to our supply chain management team), product management, and vendor performance communications.
  • With online content management team, develop and execute collaborative marketing and promotions campaign for a wide variety of products across the category.
  • Attend trade shows and vendor meetings as required.
  • Monitor and research industry and competitive trends to make the Amazon offering the best for the customer.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
  • Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an analytical or business field
  • Fluent in English and either German Italian, Spanish or French
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, or Master's degree
  • Experience in e-commerce
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Advanced degree
