PIMCO Prime Real Estate is seeking a Valuation Manager (m/f/d) Europe to steer the valuation process for a dedicated European portfolio and support senior management in decision making and external valuations.

In collaboration with Allianz Group teams, you will analyse markets, model scenarios, and act as the valuation expert for internal and external clients while communicating results to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• University degree in business administration with a real estate or valuation focus.
• Experience in real estate valuations or transactions, preferably with a valuer or investment manager background.
• Knowledge of valuation procedures and market standards.
• Interest in digitalisation and sustainability and ability to work in an international context.

Responsibilities

• Own valuation topics for an assigned portfolio with external valuers.
• Support commercial real estate transactions in Germany and Europe with valuations.
• Review external real estate valuations to ensure market-adequate results and compliance with standards.
• Regular quantitative analyses of European markets in collaboration with research to assess markets.
• Model quantitative scenario and sensitivity analyses to forecast valuation results and risks.
• Act as valuation expert for the dedicated portfolio for Allianz internal and external clients.
• Communicate valuation results to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.

WithinPIMCO Prime Real Estate, the global Valuation Team is responsible for the valuation of all real estate investments and coordinates the selection and commissioning of external valuers as well as the acceptance and reporting of the market values. Integrated in the Portfolio department, the team provides comprehensive support to Allianz's internal clients and supports our third-party client activities with sound valuation know-how. The interdisciplinary cooperation with Transaction and Asset Management as well as Finance results in a varied and exciting daily project routine in the context of one of the largest international real estate managers with diverse development and career opportunities.

As Valuation Manager (m/f/d) Europe you are responsible for steering the valuation process for a dedicted portfolio within Europe and support the Head of European Valuation as well as the top management in the decision‑making process and the approval of external valuations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independent responsibility for all valuation topics of an assigned portfolio vis‑à‑vis external valuers
• Support commercial real estate transactions in Germany and Europe with regard to their valuations
• Review of external real estate valuations to ensure a market‑adequate valuation in accordance with internal and market standards, rules and best practises
• Regular quantitative analysis of European country markets in close cooperation with our research department to assess real estate markets and properties
• Modelling of quantitative scenario and sensitivity analyses to forecast the valuation result and to assess related risks
• Act as the valuation expert for the dedicated portfolio for Allianz internal as well as external clients
• Actively communicate valuation results to internal and external stakeholders such as senior management

Key Requirements

• University degree in business administration with a real estate or valuation‑specific focus
• Several years of professional experience in real estate valuations or transactions especially gained by working as a real estate valuer or investment manager (RICS qualification is appreciated);
• Sound and in‑depth knowledge of real estate, as well as experienced application of valuation procedures
• Enthusiasm for real estate as well as enjoyment of working in an international context
• Experience in project management as well as interest in trending topics such as digitalisation and sustainability
• Decision‑making ability coupled with a resilient, conscientious and flexible personality
• Independent and self‑reliant working style as a team player with integrity
• Advanced negotiation skills
• Hands‑on mentality
• Active and interdisciplinary communication skills across management levels and national borders, which you have already been able to use profitably in comparable positions
• Very good command of written and spoken English; other language skills (e.g. German or French) will be an advantage
