UX Researcher/User Researcher (Fluent German) - 12 month contract - Up to €550 a day - Based in Germany
My client is looking for an experienced UX Researcher / User Researcher who speaks fluent German for a 12 month contract who can lead end-to-end research initiatives across complex B2B products. This role is ideal for someone who is not only skilled in research craft but is also an exceptional communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at senior levels. At least half of this role involves storytelling, alignment-building, and helping teams understand why research matters-not simply executing studies.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead full research cycles from scoping through delivery: defining objectives, selecting appropriate methods, planning research, executing studies, and delivering actionable insights.
- Design robust research frameworks including methodologies, sampling strategies, documentation standards, and repeatable processes for long‑term research maturity.
- Conduct professional‑grade qualitative and quantitative research, including in‑depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics review, and mixed‑method approaches.
- Explain the "why" behind research decisions-articulate the rationale for methods, prioritization, and insight direction, ensuring teams understand the strategic purpose of each study.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, aligning expectations, setting research roadmaps, and presenting insights in a persuasive, structured, and engaging manner.
- Champion user‑centric thinking across the business, enabling teams to internalize insights and make evidence‑based decisions.
- Mentor and guide cross‑functional teams in research literacy, best practices, and user‑centric methodologies.
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product strategy, UX design, and business decisions.
Key skills:
- Native or fluent German speaker, with the ability to conduct interviews, workshops, and stakeholder presentations in German.
- Currently based in Germany or willing to relocate.
- Proven experience in B2B product research—ideally within SaaS, enterprise, industrial, or other complex domains.
- Ability to execute research at scale, not limited to small convenience samples (e.g., friends, colleagues) or quick ad‑hoc surveys.
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research, including professional‑level interviewing, usability testing, survey design, analytics interpretation, or statistical analysis.
- Outstanding communication and soft skills—comfortable managing expectations, aligning teams, presenting outcomes, and advocating for users.
