The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Oberwolfach Research Institute for Mathematics invite applications for a permanent W3 Professorship in Mathematics (f/m/d), to be filled from 1 April 2028. The position is split 50/50 between KIT and MFO and combines leadership in research with teaching responsibilities.
Candidates should hold an outstanding doctoral degree (habilitation or equivalent), a strong record in third-party funding, and proven teaching excellence.

Employment is subject to Art. 14, par. (2) of the KIT Act in conjunction with Art. 47 LHG Baden-Württemberg (Act of Baden-Württemberg on Universities and Colleges).
Salary is governed by the statutory provisions of the State of Baden-Württemberg and comprises the basic salary of salary grade W3.
In addition, the granting of performance-related pay components is possible. The family allowance is paid, where applicable, in accordance with civil service law.
