Zusammenfassung

MAHLE in Stuttgart offers a 6-month internship focusing on literature review, concept development and simulation of wireless inductive power transfer components with high charging capacities. You will build prototypes, run test campaigns, and carry out 2D/3D FEA simulations.

Applicants must be enrolled in an engineering program and possess knowledge of electromagnetics, power electronics, and testing. German and English skills are required; monthly stipend is 1,000 EUR with a 35-hour workweek.

Qualifikationen

  • Enrollment in an engineering study program (electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or comparable field).
  • Good knowledge of electromagnetics/electrodynamics and common simulation methods.
  • Good knowledge of electrical engineering, particularly power electronics and testing/measurement technology.
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).

Time period

Tasks
  • Literature review, concept development, and simulation of system components (resonators, compensation/matching, and power electronics) for wireless inductive power transfer systems with higher charging capacities (22 kW+)
  • Construction, commissioning, and characterization of prototypes
  • Planning, coordination, and execution of test series
  • Performing and evaluating 2D and 3D FEA simulations
Requirements
  • Enrollment in an engineering study program (electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field)
  • Good knowledge of electromagnetics/electrodynamics and common simulation methods
  • Good knowledge of electrical engineering, particularly power electronics, as well as testing and measurement technology
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
