Zusammenfassung

Fraunhofer UMSICHT in Sulzbach-Rosenberg sucht neue Talente für die Gruppe Recycling Technologies. Sie forschen an Dekontaminationsprozessen kontaminierter Mineralstoffströme, planen Labor- und Pilotversuche und optimieren Prozessparameter, um eine ressourceneffiziente Kreislaufwirtschaft voranzutreiben.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in Umwelttechnik, Verfahrenstechnik, Chemieingenieurwesen oder vergleichbares Fachgebiet.
• Interesse an Recycling, Schadstoffbehandlung und zirkulärer Wirtschaft.
• Freude an Labor- und Pilotanlagenarbeit.
• Gute Deutsch- (C‑Niveau) und Englischkenntnisse (B‑Niveau).

Aufgaben

• Untersuchung von Dekontaminationsprozessen für kontaminierte Mineralstoffströme.
• Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung von Labor- und Pilotversuchen.
• Parameteroptimierung und Bewertung unterschiedlicher Dekontaminationsansätze.
• Wissenschaftliche Dokumentation der Ergebnisse.

Thesis (B/M): Decontamination of contaminated mineral matter

The Sulzbach-Rosenberg branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops process engineering solutions in the field of carbon conversion (next-generation biofuels, recycling technologies for plastics and composite materials, biochar), low‑emission combustion and firing technology, and the provision and storage of process heat. It also has expertise in waste and resource strategies and life cycle assessment (LCA). With a focus on process engineering and plant construction, it supports clients from the project idea through pilot plants and demonstrators to market launch.

We specialise in innovative technologies for the recycling and recovery of valuable materials from waste and complex material streams. Working with us, you will tackle current challenges relating to a resource‑efficient and circular economy, whilst contributing your own ideas and conducting research with a practical focus.

Optimisation of process parameters and assessment of the effectiveness of various decontamination approaches

What you contribute

Must have:

• A degree in environmental engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline
• An interest in recycling, pollutant treatment and the circular economy
• An enthusiasm for experimental laboratory and pilot plant work
• Good written and spoken German (C-level) and English (B-level)

Nive to have:

Prior knowledge in the field of research and development
