BMW Group offers an internship focused on end-to-end autonomous driving systems and simulation technologies, based in Munich. You’ll explore learning high-level representations using synthetic data from driving simulators and participate in experiments with CARLA, driving model evaluations, and scalable training pipelines.
The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, mentoring, and practical automotive applications, with location-based student apartments and flexible hours.
World-leading technologies don’t make it into a BMW until they’ve undergone one of the most challenging journeys imaginable. It takes dynamic teams with outstanding technical skills to take them from the drawing board to the road. That’s why our experts will treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.
Our team at the BMW Group focuses on next-generation end-to-end (E2E) autonomous driving systems and simulation technologies. We concentrate on learning robust, high-level internal representations that enable realistic and scalable simulation as well as data-efficient model development. As an intern, you support the investigation of how synthetic data from driving simulators can improve these representations and make them more applicable to real-world data.
