Advantest is seeking a Test Solution Engineer for Research & Venture in Böblingen. You will develop prototype semiconductor test solutions and validate concepts on the V93000 platform, interfacing with customers and partners.

The role requires hands-on expertise in high-speed testing, PCB design for DUT boards, and collaboration across international teams. English is essential; German preferred, travel up to 20% is possible.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 platform and Smartest 8, focusing on high-speed, RF or electro-optical applications.
• PCB design experience for DUT boards and probe cards, with emphasis on high-speed applications.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, UCIe, Ethernet, USB, or CXL) and measurement techniques.
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required, German preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.

• Solid understanding of semiconductor devices, advanced packaging, test methodologies, and electronic measurement principles.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong collaboration abilities across diverse teams, cultures, and organizational levels. Strong aptitude in creative thinking and problem-solving.
