Railigent X is Siemens Mobility's open IoT platform that uses AI for rail asset management and revolutionizes it through intelligent data usage—for higher availability, lower costs, and optimized maintenance.
- As part of a central platform team, you will actively shape the future of Railigent X. Together with the team, you are responsible for developing data‑centric solutions. This includes preprocessing large amounts of data, providing APIs for data access, and designing and operating the necessary infrastructure.
- In your role, you are responsible for defining and implementing test architectures within the team.
- Based on customer or internal requirements, you create test concepts and specifications.
- You design and execute test cases. If deviations occur, you investigate and document them.
- Moreover, you maintain and expand the existing test framework and analyze and evaluate new methods and technologies in test automation.
- You hold a degree in computer science/software engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Furthermore, you have several years of professional experience in testing scalable, cloud‑native applications and services that process large amounts of IoT data in real time. You are familiar with container‑based infrastructures and event‑driven messaging systems.
- You have extensive experience in testing cloud‑based applications as well as batch and stream processing pipelines (Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka).
- Also, you have comprehensive knowledge of methodologies for efficiently testing REST APIs in microservice architectures.
- You bring very good knowledge of Python, test automation (ideally Robot Framework), and the development of test frameworks/test drivers.
- You have practical experience in testing AI‑supported systems, especially with large language models and generative AI technologies in the big data environment.
- Ideally, you are ISTQB certified (e.g., Test Analyst, Test Automation Engineer) and also have a certification as a Test Architect.
- You round off your profile with good German skills and business fluent English.
