Job summary

Gasfin sucht eine erfahrene Fach- bzw. Führungskraft zur Überwachung des LNG-Terminalbetriebs. Sie unterstützen den Terminal Manager, planen Instandhaltungen und koordinieren tägliche Abläufe; dabei arbeiten Sie eng mit Abteilungen und externen Partnern zusammen.

Sie bringen fundierte Kenntnisse in Prozesssicherheit, ISO-/IMO-/SIGTTO-Standards sowie gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse mit. Die Position ist vor Ort in Deutschland, mit attraktiven Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten.

Qualifications

• Abgeschlossenes Diplom/Abschluss in Maschinenbau, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Elektrotechnik, Verfahrens- oder ähnlichem.
• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Terminalbetrieb oder 5 Jahre in der chemisch/energiebezogenen Prozessindustrie.
• Tiefgehende Kenntnisse der Prozesssicherheit – ideal LNG oder Erdgas.
• Erfahrung mit Sicherheits- und Qualitätsmanagementsystemen (z. B. ISO, IMO, SIGTTO).
• Kenntnisse im Projektmanagement von Vorteil.
• Ausgeprägte Problemlösungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten.
• Sicherer Umgang mit MS Office.
• Sehr gutes Deutsch in Schrift und Sprache, gutes Englisch

Responsibilities

• Unterstützung des Terminal Managers bei Betrieb, Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Effizienz des LNG-Terminals.
• Planung und Umsetzung des integrierten Betriebs- und Instandhaltungsplans.
• Koordination täglicher Arbeitsprozesse am Terminal (Genehmigungs-zu-Arbeits, Wartung, externe Dienste).
• Schnittstelle zu internen Abteilungen und operativen Partnern.
• Sicherstellung von Sicherheit, Notfall- und Umweltvorschriften sowie gesetzlicher Vorgaben.
• Durchführung von Audits, Inspektionen und Unfalluntersuchungen; Vertretung des Terminal Managers bei Abwesenheit.
• Erstellung von Berichten und technischer Dokumentenpflege

In 2023, we became the lead consultant and in 2025 also the On-Site Operations Manager for Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET)—Germany’s state-owned terminal operator, created to respond to the national energy supply challenges triggered by the Ukraine crisis. Aufgaben

• Supporting the Terminal Manager in the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the LNG terminal
• Planning and implementing the integrated operation and maintenance plan for the terminal
• Coordinating daily work processes at the terminal (including permit-to-work, maintenance and external services)
• Acting as an interface for internal departments and operational partners
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, emergency and environmental requirements as well as legal regulations
• Conducting audits, inspections and safety inspections and assisting in the investigation of incidents
• Representing the Terminal Manager during his/her absence
• Preparation of reports and technical document management

Qualifikation

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in terminal operations or 5 years in the chemical/energy-related process industry
• In-depth knowledge of process safety – ideally in the field of LNG or natural gas
• Experience with safety and quality management systems (e.g. ISO, IMO, SIGTTO)
• Knowledge of project management is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Confident use of MS Office
• Very good written and spoken German and English
