We are seeking an experienced technology leader to take responsibility for regional IT operations across Europe, while also contributing to the longer-term technology direction of a large, international organisation.
This role is primarily operational in nature, with accountability for service delivery, team leadership, stability, and performance across multiple European locations. Alongside this, you will play a meaningful role in shaping regional technology priorities and ensuring that local needs are effectively represented in broader strategic discussions.
You will lead a multi-country team of approximately 20 technology professionals, ensuring consistent, reliable, and high quality service delivery, while working closely with senior regional leadership, Managing Partners, and executive stakeholders (C-suite and C-1) to align technology with business requirements.
This opportunity will suit a leader who enjoys running complex operations at scale, improving service quality, and building strong teams, while also contributing to strategic planning and change.
What you will do
Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead regional IT service delivery across Europe, ensuring consistent support and operational reliability across all locations.
- Own incident and request management, ensuring performance against SLAs and continuous service improvement.
- Manage and prioritise team workload, capacity, and performance using clear KPIs and service metrics.
- Lead and develop a distributed team of ~20, creating a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and professionalism.
- Ensure operational resilience, including data protection, backup, recovery, and security controls.
- Oversee regional technology budgets, monitoring spend, forecasting requirements, and identifying efficiencies.
- Lead regional implementations and upgrades, ensuring controlled delivery, risk management, and minimal disruption to the business.
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, risks, and service concerns.
Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership
- Contribute to the development and execution of the regional technology roadmap, aligned to global direction.
- Work closely with regional leadership and senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical solutions.
- Provide clear, pragmatic input into technology investment decisions and service model evolution.
- Represent regional needs in global discussions, ensuring local requirements are well understood and addressed.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience leading regional or multi-site technology teams in a complex, international environment.
- Strong background in IT operations and service delivery, including incident, request, and SLA management.
- Comfortable operating with senior stakeholders, including executives and regional leadership teams.
- Solid understanding of ITIL-aligned processes and operational best practice.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and operational risk.
- Good working knowledge of information security, data protection, and business continuity.
- A practical, credible leader who values stability, clarity, and continuous improvement over constant transformation.
- Experience from professional services, consulting, financial services, or other regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.
Why this role
- Clear regional ownership with autonomy to run operations effectively
- Established team with scope to improve and develop
- Regular interaction with senior business leadership
- Stable environment with long-term focus rather than short-term transformation
- Flexible working approach and strong emphasis on sustainable performance
- Opportunity to grow into broader regional or global leadership over time
This role offers a genuine opportunity to own regional technology operations, lead a sizeable team, and influence how technology supports the business across Europe, without the need to step away from day-to-day leadership and delivery.
