Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking an experienced facilities technician to oversee HVAC, cleanroom, and building services systems. You will inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, coordinate contractors, and document modifications to ensure compliance and reliability.

The role requires strong German language skills, good English, and a proactive, quality‑driven approach in a global engineering environment. You will also support continuous improvement projects and work collaboratively with a diverse team

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in electrical, HVAC, or related field.
• Several years of experience in facility management or building services engineering.
• VEFK qualification is advantageous or can be obtained in the future.
• Proficient in common Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, cleanrooms, laboratories, and building services.
• Facility Systems Management: support building services systems such as fire alarms, security, time & attendance, and elevators.
• Construction and Modification Work: perform structural modifications and technical adjustments.
• Inspections & Facility Walkthroughs: conduct preventive inspections and walkthroughs.
• Documentation: document facility modifications and monitor regulatory compliance.
• Contractor Coordination: coordinate appointments, supervise external providers, ensure quality.
• Continuous Improvement: support optimization of technical systems and processes.

• Technical Support: Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, cleanrooms, laboratories, and heating, electrical, water, and wastewater systems
• Facility Systems Management: Support and oversee additional building services systems such as fire alarm systems, security systems, time and attendance systems, and elevators
• Construction and Modification Work: Carry out structural modifications and technical adjustments in accordance with defined requirements
• Inspections & Facility Walkthroughs: Perform preventive inspections and regular walkthroughs of technical equipment and systems
• Documentation: Document facility modifications and monitor compliance with applicable regulations and standards
• Contractor Coordination: Coordinate appointments, supervise external service providers, and verify the quality of completed work
• Continuous Improvement: Support the optimization of technical systems and facility management processes

VEFK Function

Depending on qualifications and suitability, assume the role of Responsible Electrically Skilled Person (VEFK)

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as an electrical, heating, ventilation, or sanitary/HVAC technician, or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of experience in facility management or building services engineering
• Solid knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of technical systems and equipment
• Qualification as a Responsible Electrically Skilled Person (VEFK) is advantageous or can be obtained in the future
• Proficient in common Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills
• Independent, structured, and quality-conscious approach to work
• Team-oriented, committed, proactive, and responsible
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as good English language skills
