Consortio Recruitment Group is partnering with a long-established fisheries operator to appoint a Technical Superintendent to join their shore-based team in Germany. You will take ownership of the technical management of a fleet of fishing vessels, ensuring operations stay compliant, safe and efficient.

Based in Germany, you will plan dry dockings, manage technical budgets, oversee maintenance systems and coordinate spare parts procurement while working with suppliers, classification societies

Qualifikationen

• Shore-based fleet management experience is required.
• Experience arranging repairs, dry dockings and planned maintenance.
• Strong budgeting, purchasing and technical cost control skills.
• Fluent German and English with excellent communication.
• Experience with fishing vessels is highly desirable.

Renowned for operating a modern fleet and maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence, our client has built a reputation for reliability, operational efficiency and sustainable fishing practices. Due to continued investment in its fleet, they are now looking to appoint a Technical Superintendent to join their shore-based team in Germany.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Superintendent to take ownership of the technical management of a fleet of fishing vessels. Based in Germany, you will be responsible for ensuring vessels remain fully operational, compliant and maintained to the highest possible standards. The role will see you planning dry dockings and repairs, managing technical budgets, overseeing planned maintenance systems, coordinating spare parts procurement and providing day-to-day technical support to vessel crews. Working closely with suppliers, classification societies and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in maximising fleet performance while ensuring safe and efficient operations. This position would suit someone who enjoys a varied role, regular vessel visits and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a respected fisheries organisation.

Requirements:

• Previous shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar technical fleet management role.
• Experience managing vessel maintenance, repairs, dry dockings and planned maintenance systems.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, budgeting and technical cost control.
• Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Fishing vessel experience is highly desirable, although candidates from other commercial vessel sectors with relevant technical management experience will also be considered.
