Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. Göttingen site is seeking a Technical Purchaser/Project Buyer (m/f/d) to coordinate supplier interfaces, clarify technical requirements, and manage order execution. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliant quality.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field, experience in project work, cost-conscious thinking, and strong communication in German and English; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in industrial engineering and management/electrical engineering/electronics/mechatronics.
• Experience in project work and working in interdisciplinary teams.
• Business management knowledge and cost-conscious thinking.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken (C1).
• Strong communication skills and quick comprehension.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participation in product development projects as an interface between suppliers and internal/external customers.
• Clarification and documentation of technical requirements for purchased parts as well as their qualification.
• Execution of technical inquiries and coordination of order management, including ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Evaluation of suppliers, active risk management, and participation in supplier audits.
• Contribution to supplier development projects.

Our Excelitas site in Göttingen is the centre of excellence for the development and production of photonics solutions for the semiconductor equipment market. For this highly demanding market, the Göttingen site supplies highly complex opto-mechanical modules, subsystems and components for applications in lithography, wafer inspection, chip bonding and packaging.

In addition, this site manufactures and supplies a broad range of optical and mechanical components, including complete optical systems, to support scientific research and development as well as industrial production.
