Zusammenfassung

Midea Deutschland seeks a Technical Product Engineer who combines engineering expertise with a deep understanding of European markets to translate customer needs into technically feasible product solutions. You will work closely with Midea HQ R&D in China to bring products from definition and development through testing and validation to market introduction.

You will analyze European market trends, define product requirements, and coordinate development activities across Europe and China,

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in product development, R&D or product engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of microwave ovens, ovens or related cooking appliances.
• Experience across the product development lifecycle from concept to market launch.
• Ability to translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements and specifications.
• Good understanding of European consumer needs, market trends and competition.
• Experience with international cross-functional R&D/engineering teams.
• Strong project coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer- and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and occasionally to China.
• Fluent English; German and/or Chinese is an advantage.

Your responsibilities

As Technical Product Engineer, you combine strong engineering expertise with a deep understanding of European market and customer needs. You translate these needs into technically feasible product solutions and work closely with Midea HQ R&D in China to bring products from definition and development through testing and validation to successful market introduction.

Your Responsibilities:

• Analyze European market trends, consumer needs, competitor products and emerging technologies to identify product opportunities and improvement potential.
• Translate European customer and market needs into clear product requirements, technical specifications and performance targets.
• Define and evaluate product features and technical solutions regarding customer value, feasibility, performance, cost and competitiveness.
• Act as a key technical product interface between European stakeholders and Midea HQ R&D teams in China, ensuring that European market requirements are properly understood and implemented.
• Coordinate and support product development activities from product definition and concept evaluation through prototype development, testing and validation to market readiness.
• Define product validation requirements and acceptance criteria and actively participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations and product testing.
• Analyze product and test results, identify technical or product-related gaps and drive improvements together with R&D and engineering teams.
• Contribute to the European product and technology roadmap and identify opportunities for new features, technologies and product solutions.
• Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality, Sourcing and Manufacturing throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide technical product expertise for customer meetings, product demonstrations, trade fairs and product launches.
• Build strong cross-functional collaboration between teams in Europe and China to ensure successful product development and market introduction.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Product Engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in product development, R&D or product engineering, ideally withinhome appliances or consumer electronics.
• Strong technical knowledge ofmicrowave ovens, ovens, cooking appliances or related technologies.
• Proven experience across theproduct development lifecycle from concept and requirements through development, testing and validation to market launch.
