The role requires experience in maintenance or a technical trade, fluency in English and German, and flexibility to respond to alarms and emergencies.

Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad are seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant to join the hotel team at Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad to support the maintenance and engineering function of the property. This is a great opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional looking to take ownership of hands‑on repairs, preventive maintenance, and facilities management in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. As our Technical Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems, ensuring guest comfort and safety while supporting the Chief Engineer in driving departmental performance and operational excellence. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and across hotel departments, you will help ensure the property remains safe, well‑maintained, and guest‑ready at all times.

Maintain & Repair Hotel Systems

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, lighting, and other hotel equipment and fire protection systems.
• Ensure room maintenance requests are handled promptly and courteously.
• Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to Front Desk, taking immediate action as necessary.

Drive Preventive Maintenance & Planning

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of equipment and facilities.
• Support maintenance planning and scheduling, prioritizing work assignments, projects, and repairs based on operational needs and guest requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of hotel facilities to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly.

Support Departmental Leadership

• Support the Chief Engineer in managing the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Deputize for the Chief Engineer as required.
• Ensure the departmental budget related to maintenance and repair activities is followed.

Champion Guest Satisfaction & Sustainability

• Review and follow up on guest feedback scores, ensuring effective action planning to improve maintenance‑related performance.
• Support the Chief Engineer with ideas for effective energy conservation initiatives and sustainable practices to reduce utility costs and minimize the hotel's environmental footprint.
• Support the Chief Engineer in capital improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades to hotel facilities and infrastructure.

Ensure Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as building standards.
• Support emergency response procedures and protocols, including disaster preparedness and recovery plans.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, or natural disasters, to minimize disruption and ensure guest and employee safety.

Deliver Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment documentation.
• Prepare regular reports for management on departmental performance, project status, and budget variance analysis.
