Technical Asset Manager - Team Lead (Onshore Wind)

Location: Berlin (hybrid working)

Salary: €90,000 – €110,000 per year

A rapidly expanding renewable energy company is strengthening its technical operations and is looking for an experienced professional to lead its Technical Asset Management function. With a substantial onshore wind portfolio and further growth planned, this role offers the chance to shape technical strategy and oversee fleet performance at a pivotal stage of development.

Role Overview

You will head up a specialist technical team, acting as the central authority for all operational and technical matters relating to the wind portfolio. The position blends leadership, process optimisation, compliance oversight, and continuous improvement across the asset management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate the Technical Asset Management team.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, contractual, and operational requirements.
  • Maximise turbine availability through proactive technical management and issue mitigation.
  • Improve and standardise internal reporting for clearer insights and decision support.
  • Oversee and manage the delegation of tasks to external service partners.
  • Strengthen and harmonise contractual frameworks with third-party providers.
  • Enhance condition transparency using monitoring tools and structured analytics.
  • Drive digitalisation within asset management processes and data workflows.
  • Reduce delays in reporting and analysis of core metrics such as production, availability, and performance.
  • Manage the technical integration of newly acquired or repowered wind assets.
Your Background
  • Degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a comparable technical field.
  • Several years’ experience in onshore wind and technical asset management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is essential.
  • Experience contributing to or building technical asset management structures.
  • Strong communication and negotiation capabilities, with confidence engaging service providers, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Structured, proactive, and solutions-focused working style.
  • Team-oriented mindset suited to a dynamic environment.
  • German language skills at C1 level (minimum), both spoken and written.
  • Confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
