Zusammenfassung

Abbott Laboratories in Wiesbaden-Delkenheim is seeking a skilled molecular diagnostics specialist to serve as a technical expert, delivering robust application support to customers and cross-functional teams. You will troubleshoot complex diagnostic instruments and workflows and contribute to training programs.

The role involves on-site interactions, workshops, and collaboration with sales, marketing, and global support teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful product

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in molecular diagnostics, clinical laboratory environments, or technical/application support is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

  • Provide technical and application support via phone, email, virtual platforms, and on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to molecular diagnostic instruments, assays, and workflows.
  • Manage and document customer inquiries, investigations, and complaint cases.
  • Coordinate escalated technical issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and deliver product and application training programs for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and hands-on training sessions both on-site and remotely.
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams during customer visits, product demonstrations, and scientific presentations.
  • Provide technical expertise for tenders and business development initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Partner with global technical support organizations to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden site - Molecular Diagnostics - Abbott GmbH. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert, helping customers maximize the performance of cutting-edge diagnostic solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Your Tasks
  • Provide technical and application support via phone, email, virtual platforms, and on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to molecular diagnostic instruments, assays, and workflows.
  • Manage and document customer inquiries, investigations, and complaint cases.
  • Coordinate escalated technical issues to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and deliver product and application training programs for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and hands‑on training sessions both on‑site and remotely.
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams during customer visits, product demonstrations, and scientific presentations.
  • Provide technical expertise for tenders and business development initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Partner with global technical support organizations to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Support new product launches and monitor performance in the field.
Your Qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience.
  • Experience in molecular diagnostics, clinical laboratory environments, or technical/application support is highly preferred.
Experience with one or more of the following
  • Nucleic acid extraction
  • PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)
  • FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization)
  • Molecular diagnostic workflows and instrumentation

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Fluent in English, additional languages are considered an advantage
