Zalando's Lounge by Zalando Marketing team in Berlin is seeking a Tech SEO Manager to scale our organic search infrastructure across 20+ European markets. You will work hands-on at the intersection of technical SEO, engineering, and AI-native automation, diagnosing and fixing infrastructure gaps and building scalable automation.

You will partner with engineering to ship solutions, build automation pipelines with n8n, Claude, and MCP, and develop BigQuery dashboards to track KPIs and impact.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years hands-on technical SEO experience with a track record of delivering results.
• Proficiency in crawl budget, indexation control, rendering, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and schema.org implementation.
• Hands-on automation experience using n8n or similar tools; ability to ship solutions, not just prototype.
• Experience integrating LLMs via MCP in daily workflows.
• Strong Python and SQL literacy for validating hypotheses and debugging code.

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

The Lounge by Zalando Marketing team is seeking a Tech SEO Manager to help scale our organic search infrastructure across 20+ European markets. You'll join a team of two responsible for global SEO within a wider Marketing organisation, working hands‑on at the intersection of technical SEO, engineering, and AI-native automation. Your focus will be diagnosing and fixing technical SEO infrastructure, building automation pipelines that eliminate manual work, and partnering with engineering to ship scalable solutions all in service of growing Lounge by Zalando's organic presence and attracting new customers across all markets. This role is Berlin based and relocation is necessary.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Contribute to and execute our technical SEO roadmap (crawl budget, indexation, rendering, architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema) by partnering with engineering to turn strategy into actionable specs.
• Conduct log‑file analyses to catch crawl, rendering, and indexation gaps at scale, working directly with engineers to prioritize and ship fixes.
• Build automation pipelines and MVPs using n8n, Claude, and MCP integrations to streamline monitoring, audit workflows, and support tracking.
• Build BigQuery workflows and dashboards to track KPIs, measure business impact, and prioritize initiatives that drive traffic and conversions.
• Scale multi‑market international SEO by building automated solutions for hreflang, geo‑targeting, and market‑specific crawling.
• Use Python and SQL to validate hypotheses independently while documenting and promoting SEO best practices across the organization.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have 3+ years of hands‑on technical SEO experience with a track record of executing and delivering — not just advising
• You have solid proficiency in technical SEO fundamentals: crawl budget, indexation control, rendering, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and schema.org implementation
• You have prior hands‑on experience building real automation workflows in n8n or similar tools — you've shipped them, not just experimented with them
• You're already comfortable with Claude Code (or similar), as part of your daily workflow, and have hands‑on experience connecting LLMs to existing tooling via MCP
• You have sufficient Python and SQL literacy to read, validate, debug, and adapt code independently — you use Claude to accelerate but aren't dependent on it to understand what the code does
• You can conduct log‑file analyses to identify crawl problems, rendering issues, and indexation gaps at scale
• You are proficient across the core SEO tooling stack — GSC, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush — and is comfortable working within a small, fast‑moving team and contributing to a shared roadmap
