The research team at Statista consisting of analysts market researchers and industry experts specializes in conducting customized research and analysis as well as providing comprehensive market research services. As a partner for data-related inquiries the team supports companies in making informed decisions and securing sustainable competitive advantages.
Lead and develop a market research team with focus on automation & data analytics: coaching hiring upskilling and performance management.
Plan manage and execute quantitative research projects with a focus on programming data checking / cleansing AI integration and tabulation of results.
Select manage and negotiate with external vendors (e.g. software vendors panel providers translation services agencies).
Present and discuss research and analytics outcomes with (senior) management both internally and with external stakeholders.
Drive business through internal and external positioning of services and project acquisition with new and existing clients.
Develop concepts and proposals including budgeting costing and commercial negotiation with national and international clients.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert for market research topics especially quantitative survey design and multivariate analytics.
Degree in market research economics statistics psychology business administration social sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Several years of experience in market research including complex project portfolios (B2B and B2C); previous leadership experience is a plus.
Proven expertise in quantitative methods; strong command of survey design sampling deep hands-on expertise with survey scripting platforms (e.g. Ingress Qualtrics Forsta / Decipher Confirmit Lighthouse Studios) including complex logic quotas and rigorous QA and data processing and tabulation skills (e.g. GESStabs).
Proficiency with common research and analytics tools (e.g. SPSS / R / Python survey platforms visualization tools such as PowerPoint / Excel; BI tools a plus)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; confident presenter in senior management settings and client meetings in German and English language; additional languages a plus.
Business development skills : prospecting positioning of service portfolios proposal creation budgeting and negotiation as well as experience in vendor selection and management including contract and price negotiations.
Service mentality towards other teams (e.g. secondary and primary market research) with excellent project management skills including the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
