Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Team Lead HSE (m/f/d) to provide disciplinary and functional leadership for the HSE Site Management Team across Germany. The role ensures compliance with the highest Health, Safety & Environment standards on construction sites and drives safety culture development.

You will lead nine team members, manage onboarding and deployment planning, and advise project teams on safety topics, audits, and corrective actions, with extensive travel to sites in Germany.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or degree with technical focus.
• Qualification as Health and Safety Specialist (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience leading and developing teams in HSE contexts.

As an Team Lead HSE (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the disciplinary and functional leadership of the HSE Site Management Team in Germany. You will ensure compliance with the highest Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards across our construction sites and drive the continuous development of our safety culture.

YOUR TASKS

• You will lead and further develop the HSE Site Management Team in Germany, currently consisting of nine team members
• You will be responsible for the onboarding, training and deployment planning of your team members
• You will conduct employee discussions and support performance, feedback and goal-setting processes
• You will ensure compliance with HSE guidelines, legal requirements and internal standards across our construction sites
• You will advise project and construction site teams on safety-related topics, risks and preventive measures
• You will coordinate audits, inspections and safety walks and derive improvement measures from the results
• You will work closely with Project Management, Construction Management and other relevant stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE

• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree with a technical focus, ideally complemented by a qualification as a Health and Safety Specialist or equivalent
• Several years of professional experience in HSE, ideally within the construction or energy sector
• Several years of experience in the disciplinary leadership and development of employees
• Good knowledge of relevant German HSE regulations and occupational health and safety legislation
• Experience with audits, risk assessments and accident investigations as well as sound knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Very good German and fluent English skills, both written and spoken
• Regular travel to our construction site locations across Germany (approximately 60% of working time)
