Job summary

Nexi Germany is seeking a Team Lead Billing & Payments in Eschborn, Germany to oversee invoicing and payments operations. You will lead a skilled team, implement process improvements, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years in billing, payments, or financial operations, with DACH region familiarity.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel; SAP a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English and German; able to present to stakeholders.

As a Team Lead Billing & Payments, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Eschborn, Germany. Together, we work on managing and overseeing the billing and payment processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. This position entails developing strategies to streamline billing operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and minimize discrepancies. The role also involves coordinating with various departments to resolve billing issues and implementing best practices. By fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, the Team Lead Billing & Payments aims to optimize financial transactions and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will:

• Supervise and manage the billing and payments team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline billing operations and enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor and analyze billing metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present regular reports on billing and payment performance to senior management.

Essential Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is essential. Advanced certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in billing, payments, or financial operations. Experience within the DACH region and familiarity with local financial regulations and accounting standards is crucial.
• Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience leading and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
