Job description

Role
Your new workday:

As a Tableau Architect (m/f/x), you are a key member of our interdisciplinary project team.

You advise clients, from startups to large corporations, on designing enterprise-wide analytics platforms. You create scalable data visualisation solutions, define best practices and empower teams across the organisation to make data-driven decisions. You work closely with data engineers, business analysts and stakeholders, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Tasks
How you help us make digital transformation tangible:
  • You design scalable Tableau environments, including server or cloud configuration, site structure, and project organization.
  • You define and enforce standards for dashboard design, data source management, naming conventions, and version control.
  • You design dashboards, visualizations, and calculations that meet business requirements, performance benchmarks, and row-level security requirements.
  • You optimize data models, extracts, and live connections for fast, reliable performance.
  • You design data pipelines, semantic layers and data sources that support analytics requirements.
  • You manage user access, permissions, licenses, and security governance in the Tableau environments.
  • You design Tableau development pipelines using the Tableau Command Line (tabcmd).
  • You collaborate with business units and translate requirements into effective data visualization strategies.
What you should bring with you:
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Tableau.
  • You have in-depth expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, Tableau Prep, and the Tableau Command Line (tabcmd).
  • You have excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, SQL Server).
  • You have a proven track record of designing enterprise-wide Tableau architectures, including governance and security models.
  • You have a solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes and performance optimisation.
  • You communicate exceptionally well and explain technical concepts clearly in both English and German.
  • Certification as a Tableau Certified Architect or Tableau Certified Data Analyst is an asset.
Advantageous
  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, REST API, Tableau Metadata API, or TabPy)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy) or data catalog tools
  • Background in data governance, data quality, or master data management

Work in a dynamic, international team with flat hierarchies and an appreciative company culture.
