Zusammenfassung

KLA is seeking a hands-on Optical/Electro-Mechanical Technician in a fast-paced environment in Jena, Germany. You will assemble optical subsystems into integrated laser platforms, align lasers and optics, and run comprehensive tests to verify performance.

You will document results and troubleshoot issues across optics, electronics, and software to support product introductions. Ideal candidates have practical laser experience, strong electronics understanding, and excellent collaboration skills

  • Follow build procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols for laser systems.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Overview:

You will be responsible for assembling, integrating, testing, and validating complex laser-based systems.

This role is involved with hands-on work with optics, electronics, motion hardware, and software, and requires troubleshoot methodology under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble optical subsystems into fully functioning laser platforms.
  • Perform system alignment of lasers, optics, and optomechanical assemblies.
  • Run integration tests, validate system performance, and document results.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related optics, electronics, software, and system interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and R&D teams to review designs and support new product introduction.
  • Follow build procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols for laser systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Practical experience working with lasers, optical components, or optomechanical assemblies.
  • Solid understanding of electronics and system level troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with structured approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross functionality.
Preferred Experience
  • 2 - 4 years of previous work on multidisciplinary tools or semiconductor equipment.
  • Experience in cleanroom or ISO regulated environments.
