Neptun-Smulders Engineering is a cutting-edge joint venture between Neptun Werft and the Belgian company Smulders. Together, we combine our extensive experience in development, construction, and project management to create innovative and high-performance converter platforms for offshore wind energy. Neptun Werft, known for its expertise in building over 70 river cruise ships, ferries, and gas tankers, brings its deep maritime industry knowledge into the joint venture. Smulders, a leading specialist in the design, manufacture, and assembly of complex steel structures, complements our capabilities with innovative technical solutions. Together, we develop tailor-made offshore platforms that meet the highest standards of efficiency, sustainability, and robustness.

Through close cooperation and mutual trust within our joint venture, we are able to develop solutions that address not only today’s but also the future challenges of the offshore wind energy sector. Our solutions help optimize the integration of renewable energy into global power grids and contribute to shaping a sustainable energy future.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the design, layout, and integration of mechanical piping systems and installations

• Development of process flow diagrams up to fully detailed P&ID schematics

• Creation of specifications and tender documents for supplier inquiries

• Evaluation of supplier offers and preparation of decision-making templates

• Conducting technical negotiations with customers, authorities, and suppliers

• Preparation of design documents (e.g., P&ID schematics, arrangement drawings)

• Independent coordination, guidance, and supervision of system suppliers and engineering offices throughout the entire project phase

• Monitoring compliance with contractual performance requirements

• Interdisciplinary coordination, particularly with other design departments

• Technical coordination with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractually specified system properties

• Support in procurement, construction, and commissioning planning

• On-site supervision during construction and handling of warranty claims

• Contribution to quality management (design standards and company norms)

• Business trips within Germany and abroad

Your Profile:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field (Dipl.-Ing., B.Eng., B.Sc., M.Eng., M.Sc.)

• Several years of professional experience in the design of piping systems and system integration

• Proficient in CAD software

• Fluent in German and English

• Strong communication skills, teamwork mentality, and structured problem-solving approach

• Self-motivated, flexible, and resilient personality
