Helsing in Berlin seeks a Systems Engineer, Land, to define the system architecture for a land defence programme and ensure traceability from customer requirements to software and hardware.

You will lead integration, verification, validation, qualification and certification, focusing on RAMS, safety and regulatory compliance, while collaborating with customers and industry partners to mitigate risks and meet milestones. Fluent in English and German; travel and security clearance are required.

Qualifikationen

• Have delivered systems engineering on defence programmes, including architecture, requirements management and integration
• Have guided a project team through technical delivery to agreed schedule, quality and cost
• Can apply RAMS, verification and certification practice to safety-critical systems
• Hold a university degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field, and communicate fluently in English with customers and partners
• Are able to travel, and can meet the requirements for security clearance under the relevant national law
• Are fluent in German and English

The role

As a Systems Engineer, Land, you will define the system architecture for one of Helsing's land defence programmes and keep every customer requirement traceable through to software and hardware design. You will run integration, verification, validation, qualification and certification, so that capability reaches land forces on schedule and to contracted quality and cost. Several project teams will look to you for guidance on reliability, availability, maintainability and safety, and for the quality protocols that keep the programme compliant with defence standards and government regulation. You will work with software architects and engineers to turn system-level requirements into working software, and with customers and industry partners to agree how we mitigate risks to programme milestones.

The day-to-day
