Zusammenfassung

SIG Group is seeking a System Technology Manager Europe (m/w/d) to drive the technical performance and reliability of SIG systems across Europe. You will serve as a central technical contact, providing expert support to Service teams and collaborating with GE&A and GR&D.

You will lead a 10–20 person technical team, analyze field issues, support investigations, and contribute to reducing costs while expanding international engineering cooperation.

Qualifikationen

• Technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a comparable field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in machine construction, technical service or related engineering environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of SIG filling systems and packaging technology.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with engineers, Service teams, and management.
• Team leadership skills and the ability to motivate technical experts.

As

As a new System Technology Manager Europe, you will play a key role in driving the technical performance and reliability of SIG systems across Europe. Acting as a central technical point of contact, you will provide expert support to our Service teams and collaborate closely with Global Engineering & Automation (GE&A) and Global Research & Development (GR&D) to solve complex technical challenges.

Your expertise will help improve machine performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce technical claim costs by identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring effective technical solutions are implemented in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support to SIG Service organizations across Europe.
• Act as the main technical contact between Service Europe, Global Engineering & Automation (GE&A), and Global Research & Development (GR&D) for European technical topics.
• Support Service Excellence teams, System Application Managers (SAM), Field Service Engineers (FSE), and Service Backoffice teams with complex technical questions.
• Analyze technical issues occurring in the field and drive sustainable improvements for SIG systems.
• Support machine complaint investigations and contribute to reducing technical claim costs (Cost of Poor Quality).
• Collaborate with Reliability Engineering activities (AHM) and improve maintenance strategies (APM).
• Support topics related to ECS/LMS and IT/OT integration.
• Lead and develop a technical team of 10–20 experts, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Build strong relationships across functions and regions to ensure efficient problem-solving and continuous improvement.

You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education

• Technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in machine construction, technical service, or a related engineering environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of SIG filling systems and packaging technology.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders, from engineers and Field Service Engineers to senior management.
• Team leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide technical experts.
• Strong networking skills and ability to navigate international organizations.
• Good knowledge of English (professional working proficiency) and German (competent user level).
• Basic SAP knowledge and advanced MS Office skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (31–50%).
• Valid driving license.
