Job summary

Bayer Inc. in Bergkamen is seeking a System Expert (all genders) for Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma (MES) to connect technology with production needs and support GMP-compliant operations.

You will own the system across sites, gather and prioritize requirements, and coordinate CSV activities while ensuring high system reliability and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, QA, IT/OT, and PLS teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, information technology or computer science.
• Several years of experience with GMP-relevant manufacturing, shopfloor, or automation systems.
• Experience operating and supporting regulated systems and managing changes and lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in computer system qualification and validation and related documentation.
• Understanding how process control systems, MES, and shopfloor systems connect.
• Knowledge of Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma is part of your technical profile.
• Structured, independent, solution-oriented with ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma and work across sites with Manufacturing, QA, IT/OT, and PLS teams.
• Gather, assess, and prioritize system requirements with stakeholders while keeping business needs in focus.
• Coordinate interfaces and collaboration between PLS, MES, and IT/OT teams.
• Plan, manage, and document CSV activities for the system and relevant changes.
• Maintain GMP compliance in changes, releases, incidents, and deviations.
• Keep CSV, change management, and system documentation up to date and improve it.
• Coordinate support, troubleshooting, and escalations with external providers to ensure stable system operations.
• Manage system lifecycle, changes, releases, and interfaces to shopfloor systems.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You take ownership of Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma and work across sites with colleagues in Manufacturing, QA, IT/OT, and Process Control Systems (PLS)
• You bring together, assess, and prioritize system requirements with your stakeholders, keeping business needs in focus
• Effective collaboration between PLS, MES, and IT/OT teams is in your hands: you bring the teams together and coordinate interfaces
• You plan, manage, and document computer system qualification and validation (CSV) activities for the system and relevant changes
• You keep GMP compliance at the heart of changes, releases, incidents, and deviations
• Clear, up-to-date CSV, change management, and system documentation is part of your responsibility: you maintain it and develop it further
• You help production teams rely on stable system operations that meet their needs, coordinating support, troubleshooting, and escalations with external providers
• You manage the system lifecycle, changes, and releases and look after interfaces to PLS and other shopfloor systems

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, or a comparable qualification
• You bring several years of experience with GMP-relevant manufacturing, shopfloor, or automation systems, ideally in a process control system environment
• Experience in operating and supporting regulated systems, as well as managing their changes and lifecycle, defines your expertise
• You bring strong expertise in computer system qualification and validation and in preparing the relevant documentation
• You understand how process control systems, MES, and other shopfloor systems connect and interact
• Knowledge of Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma is part of your technical profile
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented way and enjoy bringing different stakeholders together
• Your very good written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
