Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation, in the Cross Sensing Division, seeks a System Engineer as Technical Product Manager to strengthen the SSC product line. An out-of-the-box mindset and market understanding are needed to explore new areas and expand our business.

The role requires collaboration across functions, translating customer and market needs into precise specifications, and supporting the product lifecycle from concept to design. Fluent English and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry or related fields.
• Passion for semiconductor technologies and emerging market trends with a desire to contribute to future product generations.
• Customer-oriented team player with proactive mindset and strong collaboration skills.
• Understanding of sensor applications in industrial, automotive, medical and consumer markets; MEMS-based pressure sensing is desirable.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support technical product definition and development activities from concept evaluation to Design Phase.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately understood, documented, and implemented.
• Create, maintain, and update Customer Requirement Specifications (CRS) and related system documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Gather, analyze, and translate customer and market requirements into clear technical product specifications.
• Work closely with customers to understand the real pain points and support the development of customer-focused product solutions.
• Develop strong system know-how to identify emerging application trends and support the evaluation of future product opportunities.
• Contribute to innovation activities by collaborating with research institutions, supporting proof-of-concept projects, evaluating relevant publications and patents, and participating in technical conferences.
• Conduct technical competitive analysis in collaboration with Application Engineering and Product Marketing Management.
• Close collaboration with Design Engineering during NPI Projects to ensure an efficient and effective Product Definition
