FORVIA HELLA in Lippstadt, Germany, is seeking a System Engineer to design advanced automotive systems, including UWB-based digital keys, wireless communication, and radar sensing. You will contribute to future mobility solutions within a global development network.

You will develop scalable system concepts, manage requirements, and collaborate with international teams and customers. Fluency in English is required; German language skills (B1) are desirable, and relocation support is available

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, or related field.
• 5+ years in system engineering, preferably automotive.
• Strong expertise in electronics, signal processing, or function development.
• Experience with UWB and/or radar-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork in international teams.
• English, German B1 desirable.

As a System Engineer, you will play a key role in designing advanced automotive systems that redefine how users interact with their vehicles. You will work on highly innovative technologies such as UWB-based digital keys, wireless communication, and radar sensing, contributing directly to future mobility solutions.

• Develop scalable and future-proof system concepts for evolving market needs
• Analyze and manage system requirements, ensuring alignment with development processes and standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers on solution evaluation, integration, and implementation
• Work closely with international software and hardware teams in a global development network

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 5+ years of experience in system engineering, preferably in the automotive domain
• Strong expertise in electronics, signal processing, and/or function development
• Experience with UWB, and/or radar-based systems
• Hands‑on experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, and/or Python
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional, international teams
• Fluent in English; German language skills (minimum B1) are desirable
