As our System Administrator, you'll support a small, high-trust team on real projects across device management, identity & access, SaaS operations, and IT security compliance.
LiveEO is looking for a System Administrator to join our IT team and help run the infrastructure, security, and tooling that keeps a fast-growing satellite intelligence company operating smoothly.
You'll work closely with our Workplace IT Lead on everything from identity and device management to network operations and security compliance, in a mixed-OS environment that's predominantly Mac with a strong Linux presence and a handful of Windows users.
This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable owning problems end-to-end from a laptop enrollment issue to a network outage to an access review ahead of an audit.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone with EU citizenship.
Administer and maintain our identity provider and mobile device management platform, including user lifecycle, group-based policies, conditional access, and MFA enforcement
Support day-to-day operations across our productivity suite (email, calendar, shared drives, admin console policies)
Manage team collaboration tools and integrations, including access provisioning and workspace administration
Maintain our IT asset management system, keeping hardware inventory, assignments, and lifecycle status accurate
Administer our IT service management platform, ticket workflows, request forms, SLAs and our internal knowledge base/documentation space
Provide admin support for the engineering team's issue tracker (user provisioning, workflow configuration, integrations)
Support cloud infrastructure operations and basic administration within our AWS environment
Administer and troubleshoot our network hardware, such as: routers, switches, access points, and VPN across office and remote setups
Evaluate, roll out, and manage governance around AI coding and productivity tools used by engineering and other teams
Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and support across macOS, Linux, and Windows endpoints
Contribute to security hardening efforts: patch management, endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, and access reviews
Support ongoing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance work, such as evidence collection, control documentation, audit prep, and policy maintenance
Help maintain IT documentation, runbooks, and onboarding/offboarding processes
Act as an escalation point for IT support tickets and troubleshoot infrastructure issues across the stack
Your profile 3-5 years of experience in a system administration, IT infrastructure, or workplace IT role
Solid experience with a cloud-based identity provider and MDM solution (SSO, SCIM, device policies, zero-touch enrolment)
Experience administering a major productivity/email suite (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) at an admin level
Comfortable working across macOS, Linux, and Windows in a single environment
Working knowledge of AWS or another major cloud provider
Experience with networking fundamentals and hands‑on management of business‑grade network hardware (routers, switches, wireless controllers, VPN)
Practical understanding of IT security concepts: endpoint protection, patching, access control, least privilege
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or willingness to learn and own related processes
Experience with IT asset management tooling and structured inventory practices
Experience administering an ITSM/ticketing and wiki platform (e.g. Jira Service Management and Confluence, or equivalent), workflow setup, permissions, and documentation structure
Comfortable administering an engineering‑facing issue tracker (e.g. Linear or Jira) — user access, project setup, integrations
Interest in or experience with AI‑assisted developer tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor) from an admin/governance perspective not coding expertise, but comfort evaluating and rolling out new tools
Strong troubleshooting instincts and the ability to work independently on ambiguous problems
Clear written communication, you'll be documenting processes and writing for both technical and non‑technical audiences
Fluent English; German is a big plus but not required
Nice To Have: Prior experience in a startup or scale‑up environment
Nice To Have: Exposure to compliance audits (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 certification cycles)
Nice To Have: Scripting ability (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation of routine admin tasks
