Your Role

To support the growth of our Owner’s Engineering Area, EGI is looking to strengthen its High Voltage Project Management team.

With your hands‑on experience and strong interest in HV substation primary technology (AIS, GIS, and/or hybrid systems), you will take the lead in preparing, planning, and executing HV substation and STATCOM projects. You will be responsible for managing the technical quality, budget, and schedule of the primary technology package—including auxiliary power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of technical packages related to primary and auxiliary systems, from concept and planning through to commissioning.
  • Provide technical expertise on primary and auxiliary power systems.
  • Define and develop plant‑specific requirements and scopes of work for HV substations, including single‑line diagrams, layouts, and system concepts.
  • Draft and review technical guidelines for HV primary equipment and their interfaces.
  • Review and approve HV equipment documentation.
  • Perform quality assurance through factory acceptance tests and on‑site commissioning of HV primary equipment.
  • Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process, including evaluating offers and ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager and other package managers on reporting, budgeting, scheduling, order placement, and site coordination.
  • Ensure technical customer requirements are met, and compliance with regulations and safety standards is maintained.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, automation, or a related field. A focus on electric power systems is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in power transmission, especially in substations and high‑voltage switchgear (up to 400 kV).
  • Strong knowledge of high‑voltage technologies.
  • Good understanding of overall HV substation design, auxiliary systems, and interfaces with control, protection, and civil works.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Visio.
  • Independent, flexible, and proactive approach, with strong problem‑solving and fast learning abilities. A true team player.
  • Category B driving licence.
  • Fluent in German (C1) and very good command of English (B2 or above).
What We Offer
  • Permanent contract
  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package
  • A dynamic, professional, and international work environment in a fast‑growing company
  • Unique opportunities for training, personal development, and career growth
  • The chance to work on cutting‑edge high‑voltage projects including HVAC substations, HVDC stations, and STATCOM systems—both locally and internationally
