Jobbeschreibung

About the Opportunity

Clearwater is experiencing exceptional growth across the DACH region, with a rapidly expanding client base. As we deepen our footprint in one of Europe’s most sophisticated investment markets, we continue to build out a dedicated local team - and this role sits right at the heart of that expansion. This is an exciting opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance and technology. You'll work directly with clients (asset managers, insurers, pension funds and more) to configure and deploy Clearwater's leading SaaS platform, ensuring it's tailored precisely to their trading, accounting, compliance, performance and reporting needs. We've recently opened a brand-new office in Frankfurt's Opernturm, home to a brilliant and rapidly growing local team, a clear signal of our long-term commitment to the DACH market, where a growing number of organisations are choosing our cloud-native, front-to-back platform for investment management.

Job Description

The Global Delivery division is responsible for onboarding all new clients onto Clearwater’s SaaS platform. As SME, you will work on a variety of client implementations to provide domain expertise to clients and colleagues, playing a key role in client-focused projects in the DACH region. The role involves translating regulatory, accounting, performance, risk, data, and other client requirements into configuration on Clearwater's platform, advising clients directly during implementation, and feeding input back to the development team to improve the product for future clients. The work is varied by nature: each client's front-to-back office setup differs, so the technical and domain questions change from project to project. The role also involves training and documentation work, so expertise doesn't stay with one person but gets shared across the wider Global Delivery team - a collaborative division spanning Analysts, Team Leads and Program Managers.

Responsibilities
  • Apply deep domain expertise to evaluate client requirements and configure Clearwater’s platform to meet a wide range of front-office portfolio and order management, risk and performance, investment accounting and reconciliation, reporting and regulatory needs.
  • Become a product expert: develop a thorough understanding of Clearwater’s capabilities to advise clients and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance our product offering for the DACH market, improve the client onboarding experience, shorten delivery timeframes, and develop scalable, repeatable processes.
  • Act as a trusted partner for DACH clients throughout their implementation journey – communicating clearly, resolving issues efficiently, and building long-term relationships.
  • Share your expertise by designing training materials and standard operating procedures that elevate the broader team.
  • Manage assigned implementation projects and coordinate the resources needed to deliver on time and to a high standard.
  • Contribute to Clearwater’s growth in the region by serving as a subject matter authority in client and prospect conversations.
Desired Profile

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. You might come from investment operations, investment accounting, financial reporting, middle or back office — what matters most is your curiosity, client focus, problem solving mindset, and drive to deliver. If you have exposure to any of the following areas, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Solid grounding in investment accounting policies and procedures, with excellent knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and/or German reg reporting - enabling you to interpret and advise on accounting and reporting requirements for DACH clients.
  • Experience in middle and/or back office operations, including areas such as trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, or operations transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of middle office functions: market data management, derivatives valuation, risk reporting, and regulatory reporting (e.g. MiFID II, Solvency II, VAG).
  • Securities and financial markets knowledge - particularly derivatives, structured products, alternatives, and/or fixed income - is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with challenges common across the DACH investment industry: data fragmentation, reporting complexity, accounting standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills and an intellectual curiosity that drives you to find the best solution for every client challenge.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel Prior involvement in middle or back office transformation or change projects is beneficial.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential.
