Intrinsic Flowstate (https://www.intrinsic.ai/flowstate) is an intuitive web-based software development environment designed for creating, simulating, and deploying applications for industrial robots. Our "robot hands" project team utilizes Flowstate to develop robotic applications focused on machine loading and unloading processes. This includes building a digital twin of the robot cell, integrating new hardware components and controllers into Flowstate, and designing the desired process flow using both the robotic skills provided by Flowstate and custom-developed skills.

What you will do
  • Integrate a 5-finger robotic hand into Flowstate: Create a simulation model and develop a user interface for configuring the robotic hand within Flowstate. Implement and deploy a hardware control service for executing joint and force commands.
  • Fine-tune and optimize the application for machine unloading.
  • Validate the application on both the digital twin and the physical robot cell.
What you bring to the table
  • Enrolled student at a German University/Hochschule with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Autonomous Systems, or a related field.
  • Very good English language skills
  • Programming skills in Python, C++ and C.
  • Familiarity with ROS2 and implementing ROS nodes.
  • Experience in implementing RS485 serial communication is a plus.
  • Independent, responsible and structured working style.
